Requesting Stuff

How to add movies and shows to the library yourself.

How to request movies & shows

Want something that isn't in the library? You can add it yourself — no need to ask anyone.

  1. Go to https://requests.theduckynerdball.com
  2. Sign in with the same username and password you use for watching.
  3. Search for the movie or show.
  4. Click Request. For TV shows, you can pick specific seasons or all of them.

That's genuinely it. The system takes over from there: it finds the best available copy, downloads it, and files it into the library automatically. You don't need to do anything else — it even shows up under the same title you requested, usually within minutes to a few hours.

What the statuses mean

After you request something, it shows a status:

Status What it means
Requested / Pending Waiting for approval (usually automatic and fast)
Processing The system found it and is downloading — almost there
Available It's in the library — go watch it

Typical timing: most things arrive within minutes to a few hours.

When it takes longer — and why:

Request etiquette

A few asks, to keep things running smoothly:

  1. Check the library first — the search on the requests site shows a "available" badge if it's already there.
  2. Big shows: a season at a time is kinder than requesting fifteen seasons of something you might not finish. You can always request the next season the moment you finish one.
  3. Don't re-request. Once is enough — the system doesn't work faster if asked twice. If something's stuck on Processing for more than a day, that's worth telling Hayden about instead.
  4. Anything goes, within reason. Movies and TV are what the system handles. If you're after something unusual (a specific edition, a documentary series, anything weird), just ask Hayden directly.
